Starting as a underwear brand in 1938, Walter Hubacher started the company ‘Bonneterie d’Armor’. After the war – in 1947 – he transformed his company and start making ready-to-wear collections. He renamed it Armor-Lux (Armor: the sea, lux: light). The idea was to apply the same quality standards to the collection that made his underwear so successful. He did this with success: over the years he could dress the whole family in warm, comfortable clothes knitted in natural materials, like wool and cotton.
The brand also dresses seafarers with clothes from the Breton seafaring wardrobe: the Kermor peacoat, nautical sweatshirts and Breton striped shirts. All available in our store in Utrecht. We carefully curate products that last you a lifetime. Therefore the design has to be timeless. Due to the fact that all their designs are heritage, this will be the case. All their products are made in France, in the same facility in Brittany as they started.
