Rooted in the English countryside, British icon Barbour sets the bar for technical field outerwear since 1894. Nowadays its run by the fifth-generation of the Barbour family. Renowned for waxed jackets developed to handle harsh elements.
At Oeben’s we offer multiple labels of the brand. One of them is the White Label. The Barbour White Label collection fuses premium styling with timeless tradition. For this collection Barbour taps into 125 years of heritage and has made it into a contemporary collection. The collection we offer consists of jackets, premium knitwear and casual shirting. The main goal for Barbour was to recreate archive pieces for the modern man. A prime example of this, is the Bedale Jacket.
The second label we have in store is The Gold Standard. The Gold Standard showcases the brand’s illustrious heritage through a luxurious, premium collection of jackets. All of the products are intelligently designed for a richness in style and practicality. The main eye catcher is the fabrics that are used for every design: everything is aimed at quality, expertise and craftsmanship.
A third noteworthy label is Barbour International. In 1936, Duncan Barbour, the third generation of the family and a keen motorcyclist, introduced a range of A1 one-piece wax suits called the Barbour International. Developed specifically for the 1936 International Six Day Trials (ISDT) event, and hence its name, the Barbour International became so popular that it was worn by virtually every rider on the ISDT circuit from the 1950s to the 1970s including actor Steve McQueen in 1964. Barbour was, and is, the original authentic motorcycle brand. While many brands have aspired to this title, it has never been beaten.
